The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary held the Inaugural Evangeline Booth Award on Wednesday, March 23 at Princess Anne Country Club. The room of close to 100 women from a variety of businesses, organizations, civic-groups and corporations welcome the First Lady of the Commonwealth of Virginia Maureen McDonnell and honored her as the first recipient of the Evangeline Booth Award.
Mrs. McDonnell then spoke to the crowd about her relationship with Hampton Roads, the importance of faith in her and her family's lives and some initiatives that are close to her heart. In the end, it was a great event and very special to the Women's Auxiliary to have Mrs. McDonnell accept the Inaugural Evangeline Booth Award. |
